Special Called Meeting
Special Called Meeting
For the seventh year in a row, Lake Dallas ISD has been named a District of Distinction by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA).
This year, just 109 of more than 1,200 school districts across Texas received the honor. Even more impressive—our Falcon Visual Arts program is one of only 16 districts statewide to earn this recognition every single year since the award began in 2019. That places LDISD in the top 1.3% of visual arts programs in Texas!
The District of Distinction Award, presented by TAEA and the Visual Art Administrators of Texas, celebrates school districts that demonstrate exceptional leadership in the visual arts. Honorees are recognized for their commitment to student learning, community involvement, and active participation in advancing the arts statewide. To qualify, districts must submit documentation and meet at least 12 of 14 rigorous criteria.
We are so proud of our Visual Arts Department for continuing to set the standard and inspire creativity in our Falcon community!
