Sustained Investigation #8

For the final Sustained Investigation of the semester I wanted to go all out on this one. I started with a base layer of uncoloured clay, carving and shaping it as if I did my normal method with coloured clay. I baked it and then began painting it, giving it time to set between each layer before moving on to adding different materials for props, out of all the projects I have done this one was the most expensive one yet. I used a base I had picked up at the craft store, painting it and adding little bits of fake stone around to give it a nice look, also writing with gold sharpie as the final touch. Overall, this is the best sculpture I have done in my opinion and I love how it turned out.
