The Topper Virtual Academy at Los Alamos High School delivers a comprehensive online learning experience for all students in grades 9-12. Students are encouraged to enroll in a minimum of two classes, and they can tailor their education with full-time virtual enrollment or engage in a blended learning model (hybrid).
Topper Virtual Academy (TVA) is an ideal option for students who prefer a flexible and self-paced learning environment. It is especially beneficial for those who thrive in an independent setting, have scheduling conflicts with traditional in-person classes, or need to balance school with other commitments such as work or extracurricular activities. TVA allows students to access coursework online, providing the convenience to learn from anywhere while still being connected to the Los Alamos High School community.
TVA requires students to be self-motivated and disciplined, as they will be responsible for managing their time and completing assignments without the structure of a traditional classroom. Students should be prepared to communicate regularly with their teachers through digital platforms and stay engaged with the online resources provided. Understanding the importance of setting a consistent study schedule and seeking help when needed is crucial for success in this virtual learning environment.

Any interested student is welcome to apply to the Topper Virtual Academy. To get started, students should fill out the application linked below and make an appointment with their school counselor. During this meeting, the student will share with their school counselor why they feel that TVA is good fit based on the student's academic goals, needs, and learning style.
