KCDHH Provides The ClearMask as Sample

  • The Kentucky commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KCDHH) has received money to purchase and distribute The ClearMask as an example of one option for providing better access to people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Several organizations, including KSD Outreach, will assist in the distribution of this limited number of masks throughout the state. Benefits The ClearMask:

  • Reduces anxiety in stressful situations for DHH

  • Improves access to vital VISUAL information

  • Decreases fear in children

  • Allows for visual access to important emotional and facial expressions

Teachers, interpreters, employers, mental health counselors, hospitals, clinics, medical providers (including audiologists) and nursing homes working directly with individuals who are DHH, click here.
