Katie Fromholt

Katie (Massey) Fromholt, M.S., NBCT, comes to KSD Outreach with 13 years of teaching in Jefferson County Public Schools where she taught in self-contained preschool and kindergarten classrooms at the Heuser Hearing & Language Academy. She received her bachelor’s degree in deaf and hard of hearing education with elementary education and her master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education from Eastern Kentucky University. Katie also holds a developmental interventionist certificate and works as a Developmental Interventionist/Teacher of the Deaf through the Kentucky First Step Program. She was recognized as the 2018 JCPS Exceptional Child Education teacher of the year. In 2020, Katie certified with her National Board Certification in Exceptional Needs Specialist, Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She is also the mother of a son, Brody, who is a cochlear implant recipient and is diagnosed with Usher Syndrome Type 1b.
