Mastery, or Mastery Connect, is the K–12 digital assessment management system that allows teachers to efficiently and effectively determine what a student knows and does not know based on the core standards. Student understanding is laid out in trackers and based on a variety of assessment types.
Reports are available for teachers, administrators (admins), and parents.
A single sign-on and automatic data passback let you launch Mastery Connect assessments directly from the Canvas LMS.
Accessing Mastery Connect is as easy as logging into Canvas - because it's built-in! Simply navigate to Canvas and find it on the left-hand blue navigation bar.
The first time you access this - you'll need to set up your account:
Make sure your name is displayed correctly
Add a profile picture, if you want
Select your roles, grades, and subjects - this has a little bit of an impact on what assessments you'll see when you get into Mastery
Select your years taught and create a short bio, if you want
Create a password
Accept the Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policies and select "Save and Continue"
The next page will allow you to select standards for your assessments - for now, leave that on the default and select "Save and Continue"
