It is now possible to purchase items from Kern High School District Schools using our new Online Story by Gray Step Software. More than just purchasing merchandise it is possible to manage your student's finance office payments and other intangible items such as registration for scholarship programs, AP tests, or other such programs.
Below you'll find instructions on how to register for your account, manage your account, and use the online stores!
Navigate to https://kern.graystep.com
Select "Account" on the right side of the screen.
Select "Create Account"
Fill in the required information and select "Sign Up"
If you are a student you'll need to enter your six-digit UID# as well, make sure you select the bubble that says "Yes" next to "Are you a student?"
Verify your email address by checking your inbox for a message titled, "Registration for Kern High School District Web Store," from an account named, notices@store.graystep.com. Check your spam folder if you cannot find it.
Click the link in that email, and you're all set!
In the future, you'll sign in at the website by selecting "Accounts" -> "Sign In"
There are several things you can access once your account has been activated. This video walks through the various menus you can access in your account.
Perhaps the most useful feature is adding your student and managing their finance office payments.
After logging in to your account, click on your name to bring up the menu.
On the menu, you will see My Family. Click on My Family.
Fill the information of your student, First Name, Last Name, his or her student ID, and the contact number you registered with his or her school site as the primary contact number.
Important Note on the Contact Number: The primary contact number is most often one of the cellphone numbers of the student’s legal guardian(s). If you still unsuccessful, you may view the Contact Phone number for your student by having them log into his or her StudentVue account and click My Account. The primary contact number will be listed under the information in his or her My Account section.

All purchases are pick up only. We are unable to ship items to your home.
Each school will have pick up instructions available either in the confirmation of your order or on the main page of the school's store page.
Some items require you to fill out specific information or require you to purchase other items at the same time in order to fulfill your order.
Not all schools have merchandise available online.
Some items will not be visible to you if you do not have a student on your account.
Many items are available to purchase without an account. Please ensure you provide accurate contact information when completing your order.
