This week we are preparing for our camp to Bridge Valley.
Google MyMapas is different than Google Maps. It allows you to make tours and trips and create pins of interesting places on your trip.
Watch the Tutorial first then create a New Map. Look closely at your route to Bridge Valley.
How long will it take? (Include stops on the way.)
You will only have time for a stop or two but where would be the best place to stop?
What are 3 places you could stop on the way and why ?
What are Possible Toilet Stops?
Research Places of interest that you will see while you go past, (as you probably won't have time to stop), Research the history behind the places. I have given you a few to start:
What others can you find ?
Here’s a really simple step-by-step guide for using Google My Maps:
Open Google My Maps and sign in with your Google account.
Click “Create a new map”.
Give your map a title and description by clicking “Untitled map”.
Use the search bar to find a place (address, landmark, or coordinates).
Click “Add to map” to drop a marker at that location.
To add markers manually, click the pin icon (Add marker) and drop it on the map.
To draw lines or shapes, click the line icon and select “Draw a line” or “Add walking/driving route.”
Use the layers panel on the left to organize markers, lines, or shapes into different layers.
Change colors, icons, and styles by clicking the paint bucket next to each item.
Click “Share” to adjust privacy settings (private, people with link, or public).
When finished, access your maps anytime from Google My Maps.
