Students can share their learning using a variety of tools. This is an overview of the ones that are most commonly used to respond to an activity or post in the journal. These tools can be powerful for understanding a student's thinking.
Don't worry, you'll learn more about the difference between student journals and activities, as well as take a deeper dive into the drawing tool, in a later tutorial!
1. If responding to an activity, the student clicks on the green "Add Response" button. If adding a journal entry, the student clicks on the green "+" button while under their journal tab:
2. The student selects select the tool they would like to use, or that the Activity Instructions ask them to use (as specified by the teacher).
3. The student completes the activity and taps/clicks the green check mark to submit their work.
Students can submit recorded videos as a response. View an example here.
Students can submit responses as annotated photos. View an example here. (Opens in a new page.)
