Guiding Thoughts on Home Learning with Seesaw
The above slide deck has been condensed and modified to include some of the ACPS considerations for home learning.

Considerations:

  1. We DON’T want to replicate classroom learning at home.

  2. We DO want to engage students by providing choice.

  3. Provide activities that both review previous content and teach new content.

  4. What do you want students to Know, Understand, or Be Able to Do?

  5. Daily Time Expectations for Elementary Students

    • PreK-2nd Grade Students:

      1. Up to 30 minutes of Reading, Writing, or Word Study

      2. Up to 30 minutes of Math

    • 3rd-5th Grade Students"

      1. Up to 45 minutes of Reading, Writing, or Word Study

      2. Up to 45 minutes of Math

    • Integrate other content
