Zoom is a video conferencing tool that allows you to connect with multiple people at once. Many teachers will be using Zoom to connect with, see, and talk to parents and students.
If you have been invited to a Zoom meeting, your teacher (the host) will send you a link. Clicking on the link will open Zoom. Note that you will need to be accessing using a device with a webcam and microphone to experience full-functionality.
Note that Zoom meetings hosted by an ACPS teacher are password protected, and hosted through a secure ACPS server.
Click on the Zoom link provided by your child’s teacher.
Download Zoom if it prompts you to do so, and wait for it to install. If you already have Zoom installed, clicking the link will automatically open Zoom and connect you to the meeting.
If the meeting has not begun yet, wait until your child’s teacher begins the meeting. The audio should connect automatically. If your video does not connect automatically, click on the video camera icon to turn on your camera:
