10 - Creating Activities

Overview

Learn how to create your own activities in Seesaw! Remember, activities are like assignments, where students submit work according to your instructions.

When creating activities, you can incorporate templates, include audio directions and multimedia files, and include visuals to enhance student understanding of activity directions.

When considering student responses, think through what student tools you'd like them to use!

Steps:

1. Choose the green add button.

2. Choose "Assign Activity".

4. Fill in the details of the activity: activity name, student instructions, and an optional student template if desired. Your students will see these instructions, so be specific! Adding a template will open the student tools for you to create items they can manipulate. Choose ‘More Options’ to add teacher notes. When you are done, choose ‘Save’ in order to save the activity to your Library. If you are not ready to assign the activity to students right away then the activity can live in your Library until you are ready to assign it.
