Meet our JC Danceline, Varsity Cheer, JV Cheer, & Color Guard Head Coach: Kellie Lauricella Hughes. This is Mrs. Kellie’s 4th year as the Head Coach for all of our Spirit Groups. She loves being back at her Alma Mater sharing her love for Cheer and Dance with her girls. She grew up dancing and cheerleading since she was a baby. At John Curtis, she was on the Pep Squad, JV Cheer, and Varsity Cheer teams where she was Captain of all her squads. She was a representative on the Homecoming Court for 4 years and was the Homecoming Queen in 2009. She danced at The Dance Factory and was a member of their competition team for many years. She was also a member of the Tiger Elite Allstars Pom Dance Team for years. Kellie then went onto college and was a 4 year member of the Nationally Ranked Lionette Dance Team at Southeastern Louisiana University. She was also chosen to be a dance instructor for the Universal Dance Association (UDA). This included traveling and teaching dance to all ages. She has had numerous coaching accomplishments including choreography awards, technique awards, and championships. She’s very excited for the future at JC!
