Bowling To Perfection

Did you know that JCCS has a bowling team? For the first year in school history, JCCS has its very own bowling team. So far the team has three members: 9th graders Carter Santangelo, Ryder Kaufmann, and Sarah Augustin. The official varsity season starts in January, and the team is looking to grow their roster to include at least six members for competition season. The team has made their mark already. The bowling team is led by Coach Chris Santangelo. Freshman, Carter Santangelo, rolled a perfect 300 at a recent competition, which is pretty rare for a high school student! Carter has set the tone for success! All of the home matches will be at Colonial Lanes in Harahan. Once the regular season begins in January, the team will have the opportunity to travel all across the state for competitions. Not sure if you would be a great bowler, but want to try? Start practicing, watch youtube videos, and watch Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) matches on TV. If you think you may be interested in joining the school's bowling team, stop by the junior high office, and ask to get in touch with the coach.
