Everyone has some sort of morning routine whether it's a three-hour-long routine or a five-minute rush to get to the car. Whether you're an early riser or someone who sleeps till the last minute, one of the main parts of a hardy morning routine is a good breakfast. For some that may mean stopping at McDonalds or Starbucks while others grab a quick snack from the vending machines. Studies have shown that students who eat breakfast in the morning have a better chance of succeeding academically. Students who do not consume breakfast have been shown to be more irritable and tired. Getting a good amount of sleep is also key to a refreshed school day. It is easy to determine whether a student got their recommended minimum of eight hours of sleep or just three! An organized morning routine helps set the tone for many students. Even the richest people in the world have a set morning routine. For example, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, wakes up right at 5 a.m. each day! It’s interesting to understand each student’s individual routine, whether it is tight-packed, using every minute, or lax, rolling out of bed straight into the car. When you were little your routine involved sleeping in your school clothes and walking straight to the car still tired.
