If you are joining the Zoom conference using your child's school device, your child will open the Zoom links for you from their SPTC schedule slide deck. Your child should have updated their Zoom prior to the conference.
But if you are planning to join our Student-Parent Teacher Conference (SPTC) online and you won't be using your child's school device to join Zoom, it is highly recommended that you download and install the Zoom Desktop Client https://zoom.us/download to your laptop prior to the conference.
One you have installed the client, please create an account or sign in using your existing Google account if you are a Gmail user. Follow the instructions below to update Zoom and to learn how to join the session.
After signing in to your account, click your profile photo and then Check for Updates.
Click Install to update your Zoom to the latest version.
On the day of the conference, open your Zoom Desktop Client and click Join.
Type the Zoom Personal Link of your child's teacher. You will then be moved into the Waiting Room until the teacher admits you to the conference.
