Sign in to Book Creator as a STUDENT using your JIS Google account.
Once you're signed in, type the invite code that was shared by your teacher.

You have two options:
Click the +New Book button to create a new book.
Select a book shape (ask your teacher if there is a specific book shape for your class.)
Select carefully! You cannot change the book shape once have chosen it.
3. Use the + button to add content. You can add:
text
photos
videos
your own audio recording
clipart (under "Shapes")
add links to a file or a webpage
embed a Youtube video (under "More")
a selfie. Use the Camera to take your photo!
4. Use the i (Inspector) button to customize your content.Simply click the content that you wish to edit, then click the Inspector button to customize it. You can:
change the font and font size of your text
change the page color
add a page background
Click the +New Book button, then switch the toggle from Blank Books to Templates and choose the one that you want. The template will be filled in with sample content that you can replace with your own.
Edit Text. To replace the text in your template, right-click the text then select Edit Text.
Edit Images. To replace the image in your template, delete the image first by clicking the trashcan. Then click the + sign and select your new image by searching Images from the Library, or by uploading your own photo.
Move content around. Some of the content might be locked in your template. Unlock it by right-clicking the item and then selecting "Unlock". When an item is unlocked, it means that you can move it around or resize it.
Add Pages. You can add more pages after page 5. You can select the page layout that you want to add, or use a blank page.
Click My Books to go back to your bookshelf.
Hover your cursor on the lower left-hand side of your book, and then click the three dots. Click the title to replace it with a new one.
Still in the three dots, click Share and then Publish online.
You can keep it private so only those with the link to your book can view it. Keep the "Allow"remix" turned off if you do not wish others to download and edit a copy of your book. Click Publish online.
Click Copy link and share this with your audience so they can read the book. You can also click Read online to view your own book.
On your Teachers Dashboard, click your Class Library.
Click Invite Code, and then share the code with your students. Your students can follow the steps in the Join a Class Library tutorial. ⬆️
Your co-teachers must join your Class Library first. Share the invite code with your co-teachers. Then ask them to click Join a Library and type the invite code that you gave.
Go to your Class Library and click the Dropdown menu next to Everyone's Books.
Click the 3 dots next to the co-teacher's name, then select Promote to co-teacher.
Co-teachers have Admin rights and can invite new students, edit and publish all books in the Class Library, and turn on real-time collaboration. Students cannot be promoted to co-teachers.
There are three ways for your students to create a book:
Create a book from scratch. Simply click the + New Book. Edit the book using the Inspector (i) button.
Use a Book Creator template. Click +New Book and press the Templates tab. Pick a template and edit as needed.
Copy a teacher-created template.
