Screen casting can be done easily using the chrome extension "ScreenCastify"
First add the Chrome Extension from the chrome store. Click this link ----> .
In the Chrome store page, click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.
Step 1. Click the Screencastify extension.
Step 2. Select the screen that you want to record: This Tab, Full Screen, Webcam only.
If you're planning to toggle between browser tabs, select "Full Screen." If not, select "This Tab."
Step 3. Set up the other tools:
Allow the use of microphone.
Turn the toggle on if you would like to capture your face during the recording.
Change countdown timing or disable it.
Show drawing tools if you want to annotate during the recording.
When you end a recording, you will automatically go the Video Management page where you can edit and share your recording.
When you record a video using Screencastify, the extension will automatically create a folder in your Google My Drive called "Screencastify."
Once you're done with the recording and you're led to the Video Management page, you can choose to share your recording in several ways:
Option 1 - Insert the video in a Google Slide: In Slides, go to Insert > Video > Google Drive, then find the video in your Screencastify folder.
Option 2 - Share a link: Click the "Share" button, click "Copy Share Link," and then paste the link in your email/chat/doc to share it with others.
Option 3 - Export the video to your laptop: If you want a copy of the video, click Export Video and select Export as MP4.
