Bible

Learning Targets:  This week we will be discussing Israel as a kingdom of priests, the prophets' call to justice, and Jesus as the fulfillment of God's promises.  

Friendzy:  As we start the 2026-2027 school year, unit one of our Friendzy curriculum is ‘Ohana-Stick together! It addresses the important topic of community.  One of our key Bible verses for this unit is Romans 12:9-10 which says, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourself.” The other is Hebrews 13:1 which states, “Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.” This month our school will focus on understanding how we can accomplish more together as a community of believers than any of us ever could alone.

Math

Learning Targets:   We will be discussing factors and multiples.  On Thursday, the students will be taking the Standardized Delta Test.

Learning Targets:   This week, we will begin our first novel of the year, Number the Stars. Students will evaluate the text's mood. They will also analyze the connection between access to information and fear.

Learning Targets: This week we will continue to explore relationships in ecosystems.  Specifically exploring: What are the different abiotic and biotic parts of the Mono Lake ecosystem?
