Learning Targets: Using Genesis through Revelation as the arc, Unit 1 introduces key concepts — shalom, the image of God, the covenant with Abraham, Israel as a kingdom of priests, the prophets' call to justice, and Jesus as the fulfillment of God's promises.

Learning Targets: This week, we will watch two short films to review key literary terms: plot, theme, and character traits. On Wednesday, we will write a paragraph comparing the two films.
Thursday, we will build background knowledge for our upcoming novel, Number the Stars. Students will participate in 6 different activities to help them understand life in Denmark during the 1940s.
