Wednesday:  bring band instruments

Bible

Learning Targets:  Using Genesis through Revelation as the arc, Unit 1 introduces key concepts — shalom, the image of God, the covenant with Abraham, Israel as a kingdom of priests, the prophets' call to justice, and Jesus as the fulfillment of God's promises.  

Math

Learning Targets:   We will be reviewing math concepts from last year and then discussing exponents.

Homework:   due the next day - none this week

Language Arts 

Learning Targets:   This week in Language Arts, we will lay the foundation for a successful school year by establishing classroom routines, behaviors, and expectations. Students will also submit a writing sample and fill out a reading survey as well.

Science

Learning Targets: This week we will learn to start to think like a Scientist... focusing on observation and gathering information to inform our knowledge. 

Social Studies

Learning Targets:  Welcome back! This week we will be looking at what it means to study geography and then starting our "Where Did You Go?" project.
