Reading/Writing: This week, we will begin our shared reading unit on the book Dash, a story about a young Japanese American girl named Mitsi living who is sent to an internment camp during WWII and is separated from her dog, Dash. This story explores themes of prejudice and resilience, which we will discuss as we read the book together.
