Students will be utilizing The Science and Engineering Practices in order to research and analyze the injustice data of various social groups. Asking relevant questions and investigating available statistics from approximately one hundred years ago until the present; students will be able to develop an accurate depiction of the discrimination their group underwent. Next, they will be compiling this data and creating visual representations including graphs, charts and tables. Analyzing and interpreting this data will permit students to not only determine which issues were the most prevalent during this timeframe but also to identify any significant trends. Lastly, students will be able to apply all of the knowledge that they have acquired to brainstorm solutions that would help promote social justice by engaging in arguments supported by evidence.
