Dear Families and Jamestown Community -

Wow, what a busy, productive, and exciting school year! I want to thank everyone for the generous support you have provided to our students, teachers, and administration. Also, thank you for your support in passing our school construction bond and school budget. This summer we will begin by replacing the roofs on each of our school buildings.

Parents, thank you for entrusting us with your children to educate them academically, socially and to intellectually challenge them. Thank you to our Jamestown PTO, Jamestown Education Foundation, and community partners who have provided endless opportunities for our students. Our accomplishments are the results of all the talent, dedication and expertise we have in the Jamestown community.

We should be very proud of our high performing schools, the celebration of Melrose as a National Blue Ribbon School, the success of our first golf tournament to support a new playground, our middle school students who have represented us at the robotics championships, science olympiad, and our students who participated in the National History Day competition at the University of Maryland. I am extremely proud of our students and teachers!

Thank you for your efforts and your positive energy, and thank you to all of our students for inspiring us to improve our teaching each and every day. A sincere thank you to everyone for allowing me to be your superintendent. It is a privilege to serve you, your children, and the community of Jamestown.

I wish you all a restful, exciting and safe summer. I hope to see you around Jamestown. For our families that will be moving, safe travels - we will always remember you. To our graduates, good luck, stay humble and kind and continue to make us proud.

Warm Wishes,

Dr. Duva
