My academics connects to my internship work because I wanted to pursue a career in pediatrics and this was a way for me to interact with children and see if pediatrics was the correct route for me. My academics has helped me with my work because it makes me goal driven to get tasks done. I have found that my productiveness in school helps me be productive in the workplace as well. Some skills and concepts from my course work that I apply to my internship is communication with classmates and co workers. I have many collaboration projects in my classes that allow me to talk to my classmates and solve problems with them. This applies to my internship because I can easily communicate with my co-workers and help them solve any problems that arise. When working with children, there are many issues and arguments that arise and with proper communication, me and my co workers solve the issues together through the problem solving and communication skills my classes have taught me. My internship helps me with my academics because it helps me stay busy. I found that if I am busy going from work to school work, I have more energy and am more productive to get assignments done.
