Challenges

The main challenge that the students had to face from the very beginning was to work in groups, although they had never met before, speak another language via videoconference and to communicate through an electronic platform such as eTwinning.

The teachers divided the students into 7 groups, half made up of Italian students and half of French students, with different tasks each group.

The students worked on their project all with different features and were supposed to meet in Italy in April 2020, but due to the coronavirus lockdown, everything stopped for a while.

However, the biggest challenge is to communicate in another language to try to find the best solution with students you are not in contact with, apart from exchanges through the eTwinning platform, mail or messages, but this is also one of the purposes of this project, for which even though the great bitterness because we are not able to make real exchanges with the partner school and therefore not being able to see each other in person for a direct meeting, the challenge was accepted from the heart and the passion and involvement of the students in this project has surpassed the difficulty of the moment.

The virus is certainly the big obstacle in this project, but even if we have not been able to meet face to face for the moment, the students didn't loose heart and either from home (also thanks to the Solidworld of Treviso which allowed the italian school to have a temporary Solidworks license for Italian students to continue their project from home), and at school when face-to-face teaching is possible, all French and Italians have been working very hard.
