Basic requirements:
Minimum High Intermediate level of English proficiency (score 217 on GOALS test).
Don't know your score? Ask your teacher!
You need to pass 4 Northstar exams (computer exams) as a prerequisite: Basic Computer Skills, Internet Basics, Using Email, MS Word.
Northstar exams can be taken at Metro South.
Are you a new student? Fill out the registration form or the interest form if registration is closed first.

Office Assistants and Office Clerks do similar things.
This in-person class ends with a Microsoft Word certificate. The class covers topics such as: creating, saving, and sharing documents, applying text effects, formatting paragraphs, and using various built-in styles, creating and modifying tables and bullet lists and inserting and formatting various illustrations, such as shapes, pictures, SmartArt, and icons.
You have several options after taking the class.
Each of the certificates can earn you up to 3 credits with Century College. You can apply those credits towards the Office Assistant Certificate or Medical Office Support Certificate at Century College.
