Monday and Wednesday, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Basic requirements:
Minimum ABE high intermediate level of English proficiency (score 223 on GOALS test), and must have a high school diploma (can be from a foreign country), or be a GED or Adult Diploma student.

The Community Interpreter Training is perfect for people who already work as interpreters and want to improve their memory skills, translations skills, learn note taking strategies, learn tips and tricks on how to always be professional and not know your rights and responsibilities, as well as people who have never worked as interpreters before.
This class ends with a certificate, and prepares you to work as an interpreter in schools, the community centers, refugee centers and some community clinics. The average wage for interpreters in the Twin Cities Metro is $28 - 34 /hr.
