Basic requirements:
Minimum ABE Low Intermediate level of English proficiency (score 223 on GOALS test) and
Priority given to the students who successfully completed the Community Interpreter Training at Metro South.

Healthcare Interpreters usually work with patients and their families in hospitals, clinics and community centers to help the patients access those services.
This is a short intensive class that helps you understand the basics of the healthcare system in the United States, the basic medical terminology, and the most important laws and procedures that you need to know when working in healthcare.
