The university of Basel has extensive experience in scanning probe microscopy of magnetic and mesoscopic systems and one of the few labs world-wide to do high-resolution and high-sensitivity scanning SQUID-on-tip microscopy. In this project, UNIBAS will contribute its low-temperature scanning probe instrumentation and expertise primarily to WP2 and in a support role for the design and optimisation of the samples in WP1.
