National Physical Laboratory (NPL)

NPL is the UK’s NMI, is a leading NMI in the research and application of primary electrical standards, as well as the characterisation of novel materials. NPL maintains primary resistance standards based on the QHE continuously since 1990 and operates cryogenic current comparators for DC resistance measurement at metrological accuracy will implement it in WP3. For material characterisation, NPL will deploy an arsenal of materials metrology equipment, such as scanning probe microscopy, spectroscopy, magneto-transport, and magneto-optical methods in WP2. NPL previously contributed to EMRP JRP SIB51 GraphOhm and EMPIR JRP 16NRM01 GRACE. NPL associates to all beneficiaries.
