Bob blwyddyn, bydd ysgolion ledled Cymru yn nodi eu blaenoriaethau ar gyfer y flwyddyn academaidd. Bydd rhai o'r blaenoriaethau hyn yn para mwy nag 1 flwyddyn academaidd. Gall blaenoriaethau ysgol gael eu llywio gan lawer o bethau gwahanol fel:

Yn ogystal, rydym i gyd yn gyfrifol am y newidiadau mewn deddf ADY a newid yn y cwricwlwm. Every Year, school's across Wales will set out their priorities for the academic year. Some of these priorities will last longer than 1 academic year. School priorities can be driven by many different things such as:
National Guidance.
Change in National Policy.
School based evidence following lesson observations.
School based evidence based on scrutiny of classwork.
Catchment area similarities.
Data collected from pupil or parents based questionnaires.
Data collected from school and national based testing
Collection of views from pupils, parents and other stakeholders.
to name a few.
Below, you will see the main priorities for the school for the year 2022-23. But please remember, the school's main priorities will never change, these are our every day things such as:
Child wellbeing and safety

Development of the Welsh Language.

Promoting good behaviour
Empathy and tolerance towards one another

Following a challenging period during the pandemic, our catchment area, for the first time, decided to create catchment area priorities as we all shared the same experience over the pandemic period. In addition, we all are accountable for the changes nationally regarding ALN and curriculum change. It was therefore a sensible approach, for our first full year back at school, to work in this was as a group of schools.
Priority 1
Responding to the challenge of the Welsh language by fostering pride in the Welsh culture which will lead to a more positive mindset towards using and improving the Welsh language.
Raising the children's verbal, reading and writing standards
Ensuring the prominent place of the Welsh curriculum in the school's plans.
Promoting the Welsh culture
Ensure that pupils lead the priority e.g. through the school council and questionnaires.
A national priority to have more Welsh speakers.
Lockdown periods have had an impact on the development of the Welsh language for a number of pupils.
Priority 2
Closing the gap through personal progress
Improving pupils' progression by ensuring that learning is supported by various knowledge, skills and direct experiences.
Parents have responded to questionnaires stating that they agree that more practical work is essential
Children have lost direct experiences for a period of their primary education
An opportunity to apply skills in a cross-curricular manner
Promote learning areas
Children's questionnaires indicate that they enjoy more practical work
Pupils are measured against their own progress instead of against other measurements. All to make good or very good progress.
Priority 3
Responding to the New Curriculum by developing as a School that further improves itself.
Develop the school's self-evaluation methods further.
All members of the school, including children, parents and other stakeholders to contribute.
Collaborate with other Schools through the EDT scheme on specific priorities.
Planning for professional development for staff.

Ensuring that the welfare of pupils and the wider community is a priority for the life of the school
The welfare of the school community has a direct impact on the life of the pupils
A member to go on a Trauma-informed School course
Cost of living crisis can have a negative impact on the well-being of individuals
Covid continues to have a long-term effect in some cases
Create resilience in the children
The well-being of the staff is key to the school's success.
