Mae hyn uwchben y cyfartaledd cenedlaethol.
Mae canrannau presenoldeb yr ysgol wedi gwella dros y blynyddoedd diwethaf, ond yn anffodus gwelwyd dirywiad y llynedd. Gofynnaf felly, i chi fel rhieni, i ymateb i’r her o wella presenoldeb eich plant lle bo hynny angen.
Mae’r ysgol yn ymdrechu’n galed iawn i hyrwyddo presenoldeb da: fodd bynnag ni all presenoldeb yr ysgol wella ymhellach heb gefnogaeth barhaol y rhieni.
“Mae tystiolaeth yn dangos bod plant gyda phresenoldeb gwael yn annhebygol o lwyddo’n academaidd ac maent yn fwy tebygol o beidio â bod mewn addysg, cyflogaeth neu hyfforddiant pan fyddant yn gadael yr ysgol. Mae’r bobl ifanc yma yn debygol o fod â hanes o ddim presenoldeb ac absenoldebau dyfal ym mlynyddoedd 10 ac 11”
(Gwefan Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn)
Mae’n ddyletswydd ar bob ysgol i gadw golwg ar batrymau absenoldebau’r disgyblion. Bydd rhieni unrhyw blentyn sydd â chanran presenoldeb o dan 95% yn cael gwybod drwy lythyr.
Targed yr Ysgol yw 95%
Gwelir isod y Cyfarwyddiadau Cenedlaethol sydd yn ymwneud â lefelau presenoldeb sy’n berthnasol i gynnydd plentyn, gwyliau yn ystod tymor ysgol ac absenoldeb wedi ei ganiatáu.
Gobeithio y bydd y wybodaeth hon yn ddefnyddiol ac y byddwch yn ein helpu i sicrhau presenoldeb da'r ysgol.

Attendance 93.5%
This is above the national average.
Attendance figures for the school have shown a year on year improvement, unfortunately that wasn’t the case last year, where we saw a decline in our attendance percentages. Therefore, we ask you as parents, to respond to the challenge of improving the attendance of your children when needed.
The school works very hard indeed to promote good attendance; however this area cannot be improved without continued support from parents.
“Evidence shows that children with poor attendance are unlikely to succeed academically and they are more likely not to be in education, employment or training when they leave school. These young people are likely to have a history of non-attendance and persistence absences in years 10 and 11”
(Source – Anglesey County Council Website)
It is the school’s responsibility to monitor patterns of absence for each pupil. Parents of any child with an attendance level below 95% will be notified by letter.
Our attendance target is above 95%
We enclose a table showing the national guidance concerning levels relating to pupil progress, holidays during school time and authorised absences.
We hope you will find this information useful and will continue to work with us to improve attendance.
