Developing the Welsh language skills of our practitioners and their ability to teach Welsh and through the medium of Welsh is essential to meet the needs of Cymraeg 2050, Local Authority Welsh in Education Strategic Plans and to deliver Curriculum for Wales.
The Professional Standards for teaching and leadership and assisting teaching sets out the expectations for practitioners to develop their knowledge and use of the Welsh language throughout their careers as well as extending learners' skills and competence in Welsh.

Here you will be able to get an overview of a collection of information and resources that will assist you to start the work of fostering your learners' skills, enjoyment, and enthusiasm towards the Welsh language in accordance with the Welsh Government's requirements. It doesn't matter how much Welsh you have - you will be able to find ideas, resources, games, and development tools to help you inspire your learners and integrate Welsh into your learning environments in meaningful and consistent ways. The pathway covers the journey from 3 to 16 years old with some specific examples for the secondary but also suitable for the primary sector.
