Processing

A majority of our library books come pre-processed from our vendor, Titlewave. However, there may be times when you have unprocessed books that need to be added to the collection:

• Donations

• Books from First Book Marketplace (Title 1 schools only)

• Book replacements

• Specific need from a unique vendor

• Scholastic book fair

In these cases, you will send the books to the Resource Warehouse for processing. 

• 2 boxes or fewer can be sent through the courier

• 3 boxes or more will be picked up by our moving crew. Please submit a work ticket.  How to submit a work ticket tutorial.

• Please consider the cost of processing materials when ordering outside of Titlewave. Send processing materials with the boxes of books including Mylar jackets, clear and red spine labels, and book tape. 

• We do not cover paperback books; you will be responsible for that (ask your PTO or a handy student to help!).

Books sent to the warehouse for processing must follow our Collection Development Policy:

• No weeded public library books*

• No pamphlet style/paperback everybody books*

• Books must be in new or gently used condition (No books from Goodwill, please!)

• We are very picky with books published in other countries, due to lack of copy record*

• We are very picky with books from Scholastic due to lack of copy record

*Spanish/World Language Books okay
