Do a number of studies of protea flowers. Experiment with a range of lines from continuous to descriptive, thick thin etc. Use small setups with vases or simply holding them in different ways
Select one of your drawings to complete as a painting.
Prepare your surface with gesso and a wash of colour. Watch the video below for the paitning process. Use a variety of paint application techniques
