You need to find yourself a bird to transform, it needs to fill most of an A4 page so photocopy and enlarge where needed
Use tracing paper and the steampunk resources to put together a steampunk bird of your own creation.
Get the tracing paper photocopied/enlarged onto A3 brown sugar paper [if doing at home draw straight onto white paper and stain it with tea or coffee]
You can deepen the inside of the bird [or sections] using brown ink if you want OR
Begin to add value shading to shadow areas to emphasize your cogs and gears.
Use white pencil to add lighter areas in and to help create edges (instead of lines)
