Explore an Online NLP Demo

1. Pick a Public NLP Demo

A great starting point is Hugging Face Spaces:

  Here, community members create demos for sentiment analysis, named entity recognition (NER), question answering, etc.

Alternatively, you can use their main demo pages:

2. Analyze Sentiment or Do Named-Entity Recognition

1. Choose a model – for instance, “distilbert-base-uncased-finetuned-sst-2-english” (commonly used for sentiment).
   
   

2. Type your text in the demo box – e.g.:
   
   

   • “I love the new marketing campaign! It’s engaging and boosts sales.”
     
     

   • “I’m disappointed with the delayed product launch.”
     
     

3. Observe the output:
   
   

   • Sentiment might be labeled as POSITIVE or NEGATIVE, with a confidence score.
     
     

4. Repeat with a new text snippet and see how different phrasing changes the result.

3. Named-Entity Recognition (NER) Demo

1. Switch to an NER model or app in Hugging Face Spaces (like “dbmdz/bert-large-cased-finetuned-conll03-english”).
   
   

2. Enter a sentence – e.g., “Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook in 2004 while studying at Harvard.”
   
   

3. Observe the labeled tokens:
   
   

   • “Mark Zuckerberg” → PERSON

   • “Facebook” → ORG

   • “Harvard” → LOC or ORG, depending on the model.

Outcome: You’ll see how the model classifies words, changing if you add more context or different phrasing.
