Lesson 3- You Got The Right
This week students will be looking at the Bill of Rights and learning how our rights have changed over time. The essential questions this week will be "How do governments develop and evolve over time?" and we will use the following three supporting questions to help guide us:
"What rights and freedoms does the Bill of Rights protect and why are they important? "
How are different levels of government are set up , what they do, what they can do , and what things restrict them from doing everything they want?
How has the Constitution and our Civil Liberties changed over time?
Throughout the week will read about and debate the Bill of Rights about Supreme Court Cases. Students will learn the laws making process. We will be taking the end of the week quiz on Friday. On Thursday students will have a writing prompt on how rights have changed over time. Homework can be found on the RTI document on the webpage. It is due at the end of the week.
