Lesson 9- Life in the West

October 16-19-   THIS WEEK WE WILL BE GOING ON OUR FIELD TRIP.  If you have not turned in your permission slip yet please do so ASAP.  Also, do not forget a bag lunch or money for a lunch on Tuesday.  This week's lesson is "Life in the West".  The class will be looking at different groups of pioneers who moved out west.  Information will be found in TCI lesso 9.  We are jumping ahead as this matches the information they need for the field trip. Students will be placed in small groups and create documentaries about the different pioneer groups to show reasons for moving, hardships, and legacy of the groups.  The essential question for the week is "What were the motives, hardships, and legacies of the groups that moved west in the 1800s?".  There will be no test at the end of this week as the video will be due on Wednesday.
