Lesson 2b- Constitution
This week we will continue to focus on the Constitution. We will be completing lesson 2 in TCI this week. This week's learning objectives will be:l
Students will be able to:
Monday's focus- explain why the Preamble of the United States Constitution is important and describe its main ideas, showing how it sets the foundation for our government. -
Tuesday's focus- identify the key parts of the U.S. Constitution, such as articles and amendments, and summarize what each section is about in simpler terms.-
Wednesday's focus- tell the difference between the three branches of our government (Legislative, Executive, and Judicial), explain what each branch does, and understand how they work together to keep things fair and balanced.
Thursday's focus- to grasp the idea of federalism – how some powers belong to the whole country (national government) and others to individual states – and see how this setup affects how our government operates.
The test will be on Friday. Homework can be found on the RTI page. Some of the assignments on the page are completed in google classroom and others in TCI.
