Lesson 8- Manifest Destiny and Expanding Nation

Week of December 11th-15th -Welcome to another week of US History.   The focus of this week's class will be Lesson 8- Manifest Destiny and the Expanding Nation. We will be studying the territorial expansion of the United States during the early 1800's.  The essential question will be "How justifiable was U.S. expansion in the 1800s? And what were the territories and causes of Western Expansion?".  There will be two assessments during the week.  The first will be a project based on the expansion of the United States in which students create a slideshow and the second will be the test on Friday.    Work for the week can be found on the RTI document on this week's webpage.
