Lesson 11, 12 and 13 Socratic Seminar
This week we will do a Socratic Seminar focusing on three lessons in TCI. Lesson 11 "An Era of Reform" essential question will be To what extent did the reform movements of the mid-1800s improve life for Americans?. Lesson 12 " The North and the South" essential question will be How was life in the North different from life in the South?. Lesson 13 "African Americans in the Mid-1800s" essential question will be How did African Americans face slavery and discrimination in the mid-1800s?. Students will be given one lesson to focus on and create 5 supporting questions for their Socratic Seminar on Friday.
The project from last week will be due on Tuesday. You will be given one class period on Monday to work on the project. Remember videos should be 2:15 or more.

Group 2- The North and the South
How was life in the North different from life in the South?
Group 3- African Americans in the Mid-1800s- How did African Americans face slavery and discrimination in the mid-1800s?
The following will be completed in class and can be used for your notes and five sections.
Tuesday- Lesson 11- Sections- 3 and 4 in class
Wednesday Lesson 12 Sections- 5 and 6 in class
Thursday Lesson 13 Sections- Section 1 and 1 other
