About the Project:
"Our topic is about LGBTQ+ issues and how Rupaul has helped bring attention to them especially in the mainstream media. I painted a disco ball with a hot pink background and cover girl on the bottom of it. I painted a disco ball because he’s often associated with the party scene and I painted cover girl in red because on the VIVA GLAM campaign he wore red leather. And I painted cover girl because he uses the phrase in one of his very popular songs."
About the Creator:
"I am a gay man that is also very androgynous, and I like experimenting with makeup and the more feminine side of things. This topic is very important because I as a gay man experience many issues that correlate with my sexuality that need to be talked about more, especially in professional environments. And drag is very important to me when it comes to history."

About the Project:
"I chose cultural appropriation which means taking something from a culture that is not your own and using it for your own interest. I created a drawing inspired by Michael Paul Britto. I drew a fist to represent BLM and I filled it in with Artists that deserve more recognition. I created this because black people's culture has been stolen from for so many years do I did this to promote appreciation rather than appropriation."
About the Creator:
"I am a 15-year-old woman of color and I have seen people appropriate my culture thinking they were appreciating it and it didn't sit right with me which is why I chose cultural Appropriation. This issue is still going on to this day and the best thing we can do is just call someone out on it and educate them."

About the Project:
"I chose Patrick Kelly as my topic because I really liked how he used his clothing to influence black culture and confronting racism.
What I created was an all-black dress with different color buttons shaped in a heart. He created this design to empower black women and LGBT. I wanted to recreate it to look exactly like how he designed it, because I liked the meaning of why he created the dress."
About the Creator:
"I really like fashion, like clothes, pieces anything. I also never really knew about how racism was back then and how they had to deal with it. I thought that fashion and making clothing to confront that was a perfect way to do it. That's the reason why I chose Patrick Kelly because he used fashion to empower black culture, especially women, and used this design to model on his shows. This was an inspiration for me, by picking this."

About the Project:
"Gordan Parks - American photographer, musician, writer, and film director, who became prominent in U.S. documentary photojournalism in the 1940s through 1970s.
My project is a video talking about the photographer Gordon Parks and all that he has done. I did this project because I like to do videos. I'm a creative guy who likes to do videos, I picked this topic because Gordon Parks' life is perfect for my project and honestly all what he has done is amazing."

About the Project:
"I decided to do my project on the discrimination and mistreatment against black women base on their hair. This type of treatment has been going on for more than just a few years. In 2019, a new law was pass called The Crown Act; this act stopped the discrimination against black women for having their hair in either its natural state or just in a way that represents their culture. For my project, I did three representations of these. One is the words spoken to most women about their hair. The second is the hair types that are seen as "too black" or "distracting" and the third is a representation of the Crown Act."

About the Project:
"My topic is about self-love and why it's important. However, my project is on Body positivity, Body positivity means you should love your body and feel confident in it. I created different body types of women because we shouldn't care if we are skinny enough or thick enough, cause we are all beautiful in our own skin."
About the Creator:
"I am passionate, loving, and caring. During the time I've been getting older, I see and realize more things in life. While growing up our body takes a big role, and with social media and everything, I realized how it has so much effect on a person. It makes you feel very insecure at times because they think they need to have a body like Kylie Jenner or some other model. The reason I chose this topic is because I want to make everybody aware that even though you don't have the 'perfect' body that social media 'requires' you to have, you are beautiful."
