About the Creators:
"I have an interest in design and video editing. I picked Rihanna's makeup line, Fenty Beauty, because it revolutionized the makeup industry as a whole. Rihanna created makeup to represent many different skin tones, especially people of color. The range of shades from light to dark and cool to warm tones were expanded and implemented in Fenty Beauty. Rihanna wanted to create makeup for men and women of all ethnicities and all shades, no matter what background.-Natasha
About the Project:
"We chose this because we feel that Rihanna has made great changes in the beauty industry regarding the inclusivity of a lot darker skin tone colors compared to other famous makeup brands. She and her crew have sparked CHANGE and spoke out about controversial topics. Not only that, but she has created the Clara Lionel Foundation to help children around the world with effective education practices along with health and emergency response programs." -Haily

Inspired by Rihanna's Fenty Beauty - "Beauty for All"
About the Creator:
"I’m a social butterfly that’s is sometimes shy. I love everything about cosmetology, and that is why I chose to show everyone how important beauty products can [be] to women. No female should feel left out."
About the Project:
"I chose to go with cultural beauty because I feel like this topic isn’t really talked about. I decided to make something that represented and showed that every skin shade is beautiful."
By Ashley F. (Mrs. Hobson, Period 6)
About the Project:
"Rihanna, CEO of Fenty Beauty, has created a new standard for brands everywhere. The Beauty and makeup industry before 2017 had not been very inclusive. After Fenty Beauty was launched with its forty shades people started to realize that many brands don't even start to cover the amount of dark shades there should be to accommodate everyone. I have tried to match every shade in the foundation collection and drew a line drawing of a black woman to show the diverse skin tones in the Black community."
About the Creator:
"I picked this topic because I think that every company should be able to accommodate every audience - especially people of color. I think that everyone should experience the joy of finding their shade and feel confident after using it. Like the message the company sends, I really do think beauty is for all."

About the Project:
"I researched the makeup industry and why brands resist producing shades for darker or deeper tones. Rihanna has brought awareness to carrying shades that include everyone rather than just light shades. After decades, makeup has evolved only in recent years to make sure each skin tone is able to use a product.
I painted a black woman who carried different shades of skin tones to represent all women of color, with flowers representing the beauty of these darker tones. She looks into the mirror only to see herself as something plain, completely disregarding her beauty. Part of the painting is an ad for skin-lightening creme to show how beauty promotes a lighter complexion and discriminates against people of color. The beautiful woman doesn't see herself as beautiful in the mirror, but in reality, she is."
About the Creator:
"I picked my topic because makeup is one of my hobbies I love to do in my free time. I often struggle with trying to find the right shade of foundation, especially during the summertime. I am a woman of color (Mexican) so I've experienced discrimination because of my race and skin tone. It used to affect me a lot when I was younger and still does sometimes now. So when makeup brands that I like don't have shades to provide for me it's difficult. I was able to relate, and wanted to learn why and who has tried to change the stereotypes of beauty."
