SYMPHONIC CHOIR

This course meets UC/CSU (F) and District graduation requirements for Fine Arts. Symphonic Choir is a performance and competition group for intermediate to advanced singers of all voice types. Admission is by audition only. Symphonic Choir concentrates on Classical and Broadway singing styles. Uniforms are required for performances. All performances are mandatory. Fundraising is expected of all members. May be repeated for credit.

TREBLE CHOIR

This course meets UC/CSU (F) and District graduation requirements for Fine Arts. Treble Choir is a performing ensemble designed for students with an interest in singing and developing their skills. Students acquire understanding, skill, and techniques in the performance of all styles and types of music. Rehearsals and performances outside the regular school day are required. May be repeated for credit.

CHAMBER SINGERS

Prerequisite: Audition

Length: Year

This course meets UC/CSU (F) and District graduation requirements for Fine Arts. This class is developing instrumentalists. These select groups of 20-30 singers are designed for students with particular talent for and an interest in singing. It offers the opportunity to learn and perform many kinds of music. The group represents the school with performances in this and other communities. This is an advanced group. Rehearsals/performances outside the regular school day are required. May be repeated for credit.
