BIOLOGY 134
Grade Level: 11-12
Prerequisite: Recommended 2.5 GPA or higher; student must have completed one year of life and one year of a physical science.

NCAA Eligible
This course meets UC/CSU (D) and District graduation requirements for Science. Students will receive four (4) units of college credit and 13 high school credits weighted. This course emphasizes scientific inquiry in investigation of biological principles presented in an evolutionary context and an ecological framework. Principles covered include molecular and cellular biology, biochemical processes, genetics, classification, comparative study of the diversity of life, ecosystems, mechanisms of evolution, and current issues as they develop in this area.
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE 101

This course meets UC/CSU (D) and District graduation requirements for Science. Students will receive three (3) units of college credit and 10 high school credits weighted. An introductory course exploring current environmental issues emphasizing their relationship to the physical, chemical, and biological sciences. This course introduces students to the basic principles scientific study using environmental issues as its main theme, focusing as they are influenced by human action.
