This course meets UC/CSU (A) and District graduation requirements for social science credit. Students must demonstrate their understanding, assimilation, and utilization of the historical knowledge, opinions, conclusions, and techniques gained through a range of directed, cooperative, and inquiry approaches. The students will examine and master the major turning points in the shaping of contemporary Europe. A heavy emphasis will be placed on timed essay writing. It is not mandatory for students to take the AP exam, however, students who choose to not take the exam will not be eligible to receive college credit for the course.
