The Mission Reprise begins in mid-January and ends at the beginning of April.
It consists, for a pair of students, of placing themselves in the position of the business buyer for 14 weeks, helping the buyer throughout the process of taking over a business.
Evaluating a target, negotiating with the seller, arranging financing, building a business plan and an action plan for the first 100 days, and finalising a deal are classic learnings from the Mission Reprise, which also introduces students to the psychological aspect of a business buy-out.
For 6 weeks from the beginning of the mission, courses gathered over 1 day per week (Wednesday) give students tools on the problems encountered: legal aspects (drafting of LOI, financing contract...), financial aspects (LBO, value...), entrepreneurial aspects (the path of the entrepreneur, strategy). These courses take place in Paris (HEC Champerret, or FIMECOR headquarters...). After the end of these courses, coaching sessions on the students' missions are organized on a regular basis, until the end of the mission.
1) to continue training with often very experienced entrepreneurs: negotiating a deal, carrying out due diligence, drawing up a business plan from an existing company, and so on...
2 ) to discover another way of doing business: taking over a company is also entrepreneurship
3 ) to explore a build-up strategy: growth by acquisition.
The missions' sourcing is made by X-HEC Entrepreneurs' team (via the alumni network), as well as, as every year, Pascal Ferron, expert-comptable, CEO of FIMECOR and specialist in company takeovers.

Warning : if we talk about "company takeover/buy-out", we are not talking about bankrupt companies that are taken over at the bar of the court. On the contrary, most of these companies are in excellent health.
