Darty is a French major retailing company, with stores in the whole country. They are historically well-known for selling household appliances but they now also have a big activity in consumer electronics (TV, computers, phones, etc.).
During this seminar, the whole class will be allocated in many different stores all over Ile-de-France. There, you will be sellers. The purpose of this seminar is for you to learn how to sell "on the field".
The Seminar splitted in two parts : one is happening during Black Friday, the other one at Christmas. Both are the highest activity points of the year for these stores.
You can be affected either to the Electroménager section (kettles, toasters...), or to the Multimédia section (phones, computers, earphones...).
Luncheon vouchers will be available for your lunches during the Darty seminars.
You will work 8 hours per day : it’s a full day work like any other employees. This does not mean you’re working the entire opening hours of your store. The exact schedule is communicated every year on the training day (Wednesday). Except on the evening, please don’t plan anything these days as you won’t have time for it.
Typical working hours are 10AM-6PM with a 1-hour lunch break, but it'll really depend on your store and staff's choices (it can be 11AM-7PM, 10AM-8PM...). Darty stores are open on Sunday during these periods.
A contest is organized by Darty: the best sellers will be awarded, considering the amount of goods sold and other results.
Two persons are in charge of this seminar. Their main mission is to allocate every students to all the stores provided by Darty, in collaboration with the Darty Team.
